Keeping John August in his seat

This is a seatbelt lock that we have to use, because if we don’t have it on, John will get out of his seat and move around. However, using this is a calculated risk. It will keep him in his seat and safe in a normal accident but it may cause a delay for him to get out in an emergency since someone will need to unlock it for him.

This is just one of many tough choices we need to make as John’s parents.
