Unexpected night off

In the past, when we were doing a lot more therapy, an unexpected change in John’s routine would have caused him to have a rough night. Since we cut back on therapy, John has been better with some of these changes.

John’s therapist called in sick today, so we just hung out around the house until it was time to go to Special Olympics. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable evening. John does need therapy to help him get skills he needs to have a more independent life, but he also needs to spend time being a little boy.
